Stantec is currently looking for hard working, dependable laborers willing and able to follow direction to become members of our team. Our teams work on a variety of projects that include Stream Restoration, Wetland Creation, Invasive Species Removal, Felling Trees, Excavation, Ground Protection Installation and Grade work. We have an in-depth safety program and will train our team members in safe work practices and procedures. Stantec offers advancement opportunities within the company. We are looking for people who are career minded and want to be trained in all aspects of environmental construction/restoration.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to\:
- Operating construction tools and/or small equipment
- Assisting equipment operators, carpenters, craft workers, and other skilled labor when necessary
- Prepping construction sites by removing obstacles and hazards.
- Loading and unloading construction materials
- Removing, fill, or compact earth
- Following instructions and learn from on-the-job training when necessary.
- Performing site clean-up
- Following blueprints and building plans to meet clients’ needs
- Measuring, cutting, and/or shaping wood, plastic, and other materials
- Instructing and directing laborers and other construction helpers
- Making Concrete forms, forming slabs, walls, and structural slabs
