Construction Lead Mechanic
Position Summary
Conduct and oversee the installation of HVAC systems and components on New Construction and Tenant Finish jobsites.

Essential functions
- Provide direction to Mechanics and Helpers to facilitate completion of tasks.
- Work with General Contractors and other trades to facilitate the installation of commercial HVAC duct systems and to ensure acceptable job progress.
- Train new helpers through example and demonstration.
- Install HVAC systems and components in various building types and locations.
- Coordinate labor for the installation of HVAC systems in an efficient and controlled manner.
- Adhere to industry and company standards regarding safety and installation practices while on the jobsite.
- Measure and order materials needed for completion of projects.
- Operation of multiple types of equipment (scissor lifts, ladders, etc.) related to the installation of HVAC systems.
- Complete necessary documents (timesheets, invoices) and electronic communication in a thorough, accurate and timely manner.
- Monitor and maintain clean work areas.
Perform regular vehicle maintenance checks.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent
Experience: 2+ years related work experience
Computer Skills: N/A
Certificates & Licenses: Valid Texas Drivers License
Other: Ability to read and understand mechanical and architectural plans as related to HVAC systems; working knowledge of HVAC systems, their components and functions.
