Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced OSM Site Logistics Manager to lead the complete off-site manufacturing (OSM) process from concept and fabrication through logistics, delivery, setting, installation, and commissioning coordination.
This position will serve as a key link between design, construction, subcontractors, fabrication shops, suppliers, and field installation teams. The ideal candidate understands how prefabricated and modular components move from design and fabrication drawings through procurement, quality inspections, shipping, site logistics, setting, final connections, and commissioning.
Experience supporting semiconductor tool installation, advanced manufacturing, large-scale construction, modular construction, or other complex prefabrication environments is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full OSM lifecycle, from design and fabrication planning through delivery, setting, installation, and commissioning coordination.
- Coordinate fabrication shops and suppliers to ensure production capacity, materials, fabrication schedules, and project milestones remain aligned.
- Understand and manage logistics requirements including procurement, fabrication, quality inspections, shipping, receiving, storage, rigging, setting, and final installation.
- Work closely with construction teams and other project disciplines to integrate OSM activities with the overall construction schedule and 2D/design requirements.
- Coordinate subcontractors, OSM fabricators, and field installers to ensure components are ready for setting and final connections.
- Monitor fabrication progress, identify bottlenecks, and proactively resolve schedule or material issues.
- Manage design changes and fabrication priorities to minimize disruption to production and construction schedules.
- Work with BIM and OSM design teams on constructability reviews, issue tracking, design coordination, and fabrication readiness.
- Maintain structured tracking and escalation of design-to-fabrication issues through resolution.
- Develop and oversee quality-control inspections, testing requirements, storage procedures, and documentation.
- Maintain component and material traceability throughout fabrication, shipping, receiving, and installation.
- Lead root-cause investigations and corrective actions when fabrication or quality issues arise.
- Coordinate rigging, lifting plans, MIMO paths, site access, staging, and installation sequencing with onsite contractors.
- Ensure installation areas and crews are prepared before OSM components arrive onsite.
- Coordinate fabrication and field schedules to minimize unnecessary storage, double handling, and installation delays.
- Monitor supplier performance using KPIs such as on-time delivery, first-pass yield, rework, lead time, throughput, safety performance, and installed-cost variance.
- Conduct supplier performance reviews and support corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience with off-site manufacturing (OSM), prefabrication, modular construction, fabrication management, site logistics, or similar operations.
- Strong understanding of the process from design/fabrication drawings through fabrication, shipment, setting, installation, and commissioning.
- Experience coordinating fabrication shops, subcontractors, suppliers, and field construction teams.
- Strong understanding of construction scheduling and installation sequencing.
- Experience managing complex shipments, site logistics, material handling, staging, and installation activities.
- Ability to work with BIM/design teams and understand constructability requirements.
- Knowledge of quality-control processes, inspections, documentation, and material/component traceability.
- Experience managing supplier performance and resolving fabrication, quality, or schedule issues.
- Strong organizational, communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively across design, procurement, fabrication, construction, and commissioning teams.
Experience
- Semiconductor Tool Installation
- Advanced manufacturing or semiconductor construction
- Large-scale prefabrication or modular construction
- BIM/design coordination
- Lean manufacturing and capacity planning
- Rigging and heavy-component installation planning
- Supplier and fabrication-shop management
