Construction Manager / Construction Administrator
Position Summary
Davenergy Solutions is seeking an experienced Construction Manager / Construction Administrator to support construction and renovation projects at the Veterans Affairs Pittsburgh Healthcare System. This position provides comprehensive construction management services throughout the planning, design, construction, and closeout phases of complex federal healthcare facility projects.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing facility construction projects, coordinating multidisciplinary teams, monitoring schedules and budgets, ensuring quality, and maintaining compliance with federal regulations and healthcare construction standards. Experience with occupied healthcare facilities and Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) projects is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage construction activities for assigned healthcare facility projects from pre-construction through project completion.
- Coordinate with VA personnel, architects, engineers, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure successful project execution.
- Review construction documents, drawings, specifications, submittals, RFIs, change orders, and contractor proposals.
- Monitor contractor performance, construction quality, safety, schedule, and cost throughout the project lifecycle.
- Conduct routine site visits to verify work progress and compliance with project requirements.
- Evaluate work in place and provide recommendations regarding payment applications.
- Assist in preparing and maintaining project schedules, cost reports, risk assessments, and project documentation.
- Identify project risks and proactively notify the Government of potential impact delays, code violations, or construction issues.
- Participate in Quality Assurance Surveillance Program (QASP) activities and ensure compliance with contract requirements.
- Review and recommend modifications to project scope, schedules, and budgets when necessary.
- Ensure compliance with applicable building codes, life safety requirements, permitting regulations, and federal construction standards.
- Support project closeout activities, punch lists, commissioning coordination, and final documentation.
