Construction Manager

Role Purpose

The Construction Manager supports the coordination, monitoring and operational administration of assigned construction and A&A works projects across site operations, subcontractor coordination, scheduling, project execution support, workmanship monitoring and operational reporting.

This role works closely with the Project Director, Design Team, QS Team and Operations Team to support smooth project execution, proper site coordination and timely operational follow through across active projects.

As D’trax operates within a lean SME environment, the role requires strong ownership, responsiveness, practical problem solving and the ability to manage multiple moving parts across active projects.

Key Responsibilities

1. Project & Site Management

· Support and coordinate day to day operations across assigned project sites.

· Coordinate site activities, subcontractors, suppliers and project schedules.

· Monitor project progress and escalate delays, clashes or operational concerns early.

· Ensure works are carried out according to approved drawings, specifications and project requirements.

· Conduct regular site inspections and coordination meetings.

· Ensure proper housekeeping, site discipline and operational coordination onsite.

· Follow through on defects, rectification works and project close out items.

· Perform occasional weekend site supervision and coordination where required by project and operational needs to support smooth project execution.

2. Project Coordination &Reporting

· Coordinate closely with the Design, QS and Operations teams on project requirements and execution matters.

· Assist in monitoring project timeline, work sequencing and manpower coordination.

· Ensure project updates, site reports and operational matters are communicated promptly.

· Maintain proper records of site instructions, variation works and coordination matters.

· Escalate unresolved operational or site issues to management in a timely manner.

3. Subcontractor & Vendor Coordination

· Coordinate and monitor subcontractor attendance, work progress and workmanship standards.

· Monitor and highlight subcontractor compliance issues relating to site rules, safety requirements and project expectations.

· Highlight recurring performance or coordination issues for management follow up.

4. WSH& Compliance Support

· Support implementation of site Risk Assessments (RA), Safe Work Procedures (SWP) and toolbox briefings where required.

· Ensure compliance with applicable Workplace Safety and Health requirements onsite.

· Coordinate with external WSH personnel, consultants and relevant stakeholders where required.

· Ensure site related documentation and records are maintained properly.

· Any formal WSH appointment or statutory safety responsibilities shall remain subject to separate written appointment by the Company where applicable.

5. Documentation& Operational Control

· Ensure project related records, reports and submissions are updated and properly maintained.

· Support document control, version tracking and operational filing requirements.

· Ensure project information and records are submitted within required timelines.

· Support operational process improvements and implementation where required.

Requirements

Qualifications& Experience

· Construction Management, Interior Design or related discipline preferred.

· Relevant experience in construction, interior fit out, renovation and/or A&A works preferred.

· Familiarity with Singapore construction and WSH requirements preferred

Preferred Certifications

Candidates with the following certifications will have an advantage:

· ISO related exposure or certifications

Working Conditions

· Combination of onsite and office-based work.

· May require travel between project sites.

· May require after office hours coordination depending on project requirements.
