We are seeking a full-time Construction Manager at the Sacramento VA Medical Center in Mather, CA. This position serves as the Owner’s Representative supporting the Electronic Health Record Modernization (EHRM) Infrastructure Upgrades Program. The Construction Manager will provide onsite construction observation and quality assurance services for infrastructure upgrades and renovation work within an active medical campus environment.
Primary Responsibilities
- Perform field observations to verify construction progress, general conformance, site conditions, and work activities.
- Assist with shutdown planning and coordination with VA facilities personnel and project stakeholders. Coordinate escorting and access to secure work areas for the general contractor.
- Prepare daily reports documenting construction progress, site conditions, and significant events.
- Assist with field coordination and documentation related to submittal, schedules, testing, punch list, and closeout and requested.
- Maintain organized project documentation including inspection reports, correspondence, photographs, deficiency logs, and field observations.
- Assist with punch list development, deficiency tracking, final inspections, and project closeout activities.
- Assist with special inspections, testing, commissioning, and turnover activities.
- Support project safety efforts through field observations and coordination with the Site Safety Manager.
