CONSTRUCTION MANAGER

Job Description & Requirements

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, and manage all phases of construction projects.
  • Develop and monitor project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.
  • Lead and supervise site supervisors, engineers, subcontractors, and project teams.
  • Ensure construction activities comply with approved drawings, specifications, contracts, and local regulations.
  • Monitor project progress and implement corrective actions to address delays or issues.
  • Manage project costs, procurement, and material delivery to ensure efficient operations.
  • Coordinate with clients, consultants, architects, engineers, and government authorities.
  • Ensure compliance with workplace health, safety, and environmental (HSE) requirements.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality workmanship and adherence to project standards.
  • Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Prepare project reports, progress updates, and documentation for management and clients.
  • Manage contract administration, variation orders, and claims where applicable.
  • Lead project meetings and maintain effective communication with all stakeholders.
  • Ensure successful project completion, handover, and close-out documentation.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in construction project management, with proven leadership experience.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, project planning, budgeting, contract administration, and risk management.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and construction contracts.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Knowledge of local building codes, safety regulations, and quality management standards.
  • Valid construction safety certification and professional registration (where applicable) are an advantage.
  • Willingness to travel to project sites as required
  • Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines , with flexibility to work extended hours when required.
