Summary
We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager to take a lead role on our HS2 project in Denham.
Acting as the senior site lead (Black Hat), you will take overall responsibility for the day-to-day management and coordination of the site, driving delivery and ensuring works are completed safely, to programme and to the required quality standards.
This is a significant site leadership role, working closely with the Project Director and wider project team to maintain control of site activities and successfully deliver the M&E works across the project.
Some of the key deliverables in this role will include:
Taking overall day-to-day leadership and control of site activities.
Managing and coordinating construction teams, subcontractors and site resources.
Driving the construction programme and ensuring key milestones are achieved.
Maintaining high standards of health & safety, quality and site management.
Overseeing the delivery and coordination of M&E/building services installations.
Identifying and resolving site issues to keep delivery on track.
Leading site meetings and providing clear direction to the wider delivery team.
Working closely with the Project Director, commercial, engineering and commissioning teams through to completion and handover.
What we're looking for:
We’re looking for a strong and experienced Construction Manager who is comfortable taking ownership of a large, complex site and providing clear leadership to the delivery team.
Significant experience leading construction delivery on major or complex projects.
Strong M&E/building services knowledge, with a mechanical and/or electrical background.
Experience operating as a senior site lead / Black Hat or in a similarly responsible site leadership position.
Strong understanding of construction programmes, sequencing, QA/QC and commissioning.
Confident managing subcontractors and multidisciplinary site teams.
Able to take control, make decisions and proactively resolve issues on site.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Relevant construction, engineering or building services qualification.
