Construction Manager

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to oversee horizontal and vertical construction of multifamily residential communities, including townhomes and multi-story attached homes. The ideal candidate will manage subcontractors, schedules, budgets, quality, and site safety to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee site development, utilities, grading, and vertical construction.

• Manage subcontractors, trade partners, scheduling, and daily site activities.

• Develop and maintain construction schedules and progress reports.

• Coordinate inspections, permits, and local building code compliance.

• Enforce jobsite safety and Cal/OSHA regulations.

• Monitor budgets, approve invoices, and manage change orders.

• Conduct quality inspections, punch lists, and final walkthroughs.

• Coordinate with design, purchasing, development, and sales teams.

• Maintain daily reports, site documentation, and project updates.

• Support project closeout and warranty-related construction items.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience managing multifamily residential construction.

• Required: Townhome and multi-story attached residential construction experience.

• Experience with production or infill homebuilders preferred.

• Knowledge of both horizontal site development and vertical construction.

• Familiarity with California building codes, Cal/OSHA, and SWPPP.

• Ability to read civil, architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.

• Strong subcontractor management, scheduling, and leadership skills.

• Proficiency in construction management software and Microsoft Office.

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred.
