About Destructable

Destructable, Inc. is a wind turbine decommissioning and recycling company headquartered in Amarillo, Texas, with a zero-landfill mission. We safely dismantle wind turbines, recover and sell components and materials, and return project sites to their landowners. Our field work spans blade removal, tower entry, hub and nacelle removal, fluid and switchgear removal, metal cutting, loadout, and site reclamation.

Key Responsibilities

Safety and Compliance

· Set and enforce the safety standard on every assigned site; stop work whenever conditions are unsafe.

· Ensure all work follows Destructable SOPs, including stored energy, lockout/tagout, rigging, and working at height procedures.

· Lead pre-task planning, job hazard analyses, and daily safety briefings with Superintendents.

· Verify operator certifications, PPE and uniform compliance, and required training before personnel perform work.

· Lead incident and near-miss investigations, corrective actions, and reporting to the Project Manager.

· Maintain compliance with OSHA, environmental, DOT, permit, and customer site requirements.

Project Execution

· Receive projects through the BD-to-Operations handoff and confirm scope, contract terms, and customer expectations before mobilization.

· Build and maintain the project schedule, crew plan, equipment plan, and trucking forecast.

· Direct daily field operations through Superintendents across all craft areas: blade removal, tower entry, hub cutting, nacelle loadout, PMT removal, fluid removal, switchgear removal, and metal cutting.

· Coordinate crane, equipment, and logistics resources to keep production on plan.

· Manage site reclamation to the approved plan, including decompaction hold points before topsoil placement.

· Lead project closeout: punch list, final documentation, demobilization, and lessons learned.

Cost, Profitability, and Contracts

· Own the project budget and drive every project to at least 20% gross profit.

· Track labor, equipment, trucking, and subcontractor cost against budget and forecast cost to complete weekly.

· Support component and scrap recovery to maximize material revenue under the zero-landfill mission.

· Identify, document, and price changes in scope; submit change orders promptly with supporting records.

· Manage subcontractors, including scope, bonding and insurance requirements, performance, and invoice review.

Customer and Stakeholder Management

· Serve as the primary on-site contact for owners, general contractors, landowners, and inspectors.

· Deliver clear, accurate progress reporting and manage customer expectations in line with company standards.

· Resolve field issues and disputes early, escalating to the Project Manager when contract or commercial exposure is involved.

Quality and Reporting

· Enforce quality standards and verify work at defined hold points.

· Ensure daily reports, time entry, equipment logs, and KPI data are complete and accurate.

· Report weekly on Safety, Quality, schedule, and Project Profit performance.

Leadership and Development

· Lead, coach, and hold Superintendents and crews accountable to clear standards.

· Develop Superintendents and assistant project managers toward greater responsibility.

· Support hiring, onboarding, and continuing education for field personnel.

· Contribute to SOP improvements based on field experience.
