Construction Manager

Job Description

  • Oversees full project lifecycle — planning, budgeting, coordination, and handover.
  • Develops master project schedule, resource plan, and critical path monitoring. Approves design concepts, oversees engineering validation and system optimization.
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks, proactively addressing any issues that arise.
  • Lead, manage and coordinate the site supervision team, including the Engineers and Resident Technical Officers (RTOs), in the delivery of day-to-day site activities.
  • Act as a key interface between the Client and the Contractor on site, including coordination for Client representatives and other appointed vendors attending site.
  • Approves procurement strategy, negotiates with key suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Manages multiple sites; ensures progress meets contractual targets.
  • Contribute actively to weekly progress meetings with the Client and provide clear, timely and accurate progress updates.
  • Promote the observation, feedback and continuous improvement of Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) practices on site.
  • Manages the implementation of Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) frameworks by ensuring compliance with WSH Act. Conducts regular safety inspections and coordinates with stakeholders to address safety concerns effectively.
  • Ensures all authority submissions and approvals are obtained; liaises directly when needed.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant industry regulations, safety standards, and company policies.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or related field
  • Relevant experience in ACMV / M&E industry of 5 years, with leadership and financial accountability.
  • Minimum 5 years experiences as a Construction Manager
  • Candidates with Semi-con project experiences are highly preferred.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD/shop drawing tools.
  • Strong leadership, good communicator and motivator, able to coordinate among multiple stakeholders, proactive, self-driven.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects, fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with Singapore authority submission procedures (BCA, SCDF, PUB, NEA)
