CONSTRUCTION PAINTER

Job Description

We are looking for a reliable and experienced Construction Painter to carry out painting, surface preparation and finishing works at various construction project sites. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that painting works are completed safely and according to project specifications and required workmanship standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out general painting works for residential, commercial and construction projects.
• Prepare surfaces before painting, including cleaning, scraping, sanding, patching and filling cracks or uneven areas.
• Apply primer, sealer, paint and other protective or decorative coatings to walls, ceilings and other surfaces.
• Perform painting using brushes, rollers and other appropriate painting equipment.
• Mix and prepare paints and coatings according to required specifications.
• Carry out touch-up and rectification works where necessary.
• Protect surrounding surfaces, fixtures and completed works from paint damage or staining.
• Ensure proper finishing, coverage and consistency of completed painting works.
• Assist with waterproofing, coating or other related finishing works when required.
• Set up and use ladders, platforms and other approved access equipment safely where required.
• Maintain painting tools and equipment in good working condition.
• Keep the work area clean and properly dispose of painting materials and waste according to site requirements.
• Coordinate with supervisors, foremen and other construction workers to complete assigned works according to project schedules.
• Follow all company Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) requirements and construction-site safety procedures.
• Wear the required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and comply with instructions from site safety personnel.
• Perform other painting, finishing or general construction duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Job Requirements

• Relevant experience as a Construction Painter / Building Painter is preferred.
• Knowledge of surface preparation, painting techniques and finishing works.
• Familiar with the proper use of brushes, rollers and common painting tools.
• Able to identify and prepare different surfaces before painting.
• Physically able to perform construction-site duties, including standing for extended periods and working at different heights where required.
• Able to work outdoors and in a construction-site environment.
• Able to work independently and as part of a construction team.
• Willing to work at different project locations according to operational requirements.
• Responsible, hardworking and safety-conscious.
• Must comply with all applicable construction-site and workplace safety requirements.

Working Conditions

• Work will primarily be performed at various construction sites.
• Working hours will be in accordance with the company's employment terms and applicable Singapore employment regulations.
• Overtime may be required depending on project and operational requirements.
