POSITION SUMMARY
The Project Engineer at Fading West Construction oversees all aspects of a construction project from inception to completion. This includes planning, organizing, and managing resources to ensure the project is delivered on time, within budget, and to the specified quality standards. The Project Engineer will work closely with the project manager and site superintendent to execute construction plans, monitor progress, and address any technical challenges that may arise. Traveling will be required for this position.
Responsibilities

Prepare accurate cost estimates for projects during the pre-construction phase.

Manage subcontractor agreements and performance.

Prepare agendas and compile/distribute minutes for weekly OAC meetings.

Procore Project Management Software.
-
Upload and manage project drawings.
-
Handle commitments and submittals.
-
Manage RFI’s during the construction period.
-
Upload site progress photos.
-
Maintain the project directory of subcontractors and vendors.
-
Submit daily logs to track progress on site.
-

Conduct weekly site inspections and document incident reports and near misses.
-
Lead weekly toolbox talks to address safety topics.
-
Perform equipment inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards.
-
Provide safety acknowledgment for new subcontractors.
-
Conduct pre-concrete inspections to ensure site safety.
-
Implement and monitor fall protection measures.
-
Assist the site superintendent in advancing on-site progress by:
-
Managing and scheduling subcontractors and Fading West Construction (FWC) staff.
-
Defining the scope of work for subcontractors and FWC staff.
-
Performing quality checks on all completed work, ensuring the correct materials are used.
-
Developing and maintaining project schedules to ensure timely completion.

Qualifications
-
-
Minimum of 2 years of construction experience required or Construction Management degree.

Experience with Procore and Microsoft Office preferred.
-
Experience with reading plans and basic framing layout required.
-
Proficient in reading and interpreting construction plans to relay information with subcontractors and FWC staff.
-
Basic knowledge of job-site tools & equipment maintenance required.
-
Highly organized with the ability to multi-task.
-
Valid drivers license is required.
