Construction Project Management Manager

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage construction projects from planning to completion.
  • Develop and monitor project schedules, budgets, manpower, and resources.
  • Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams.
  • Monitor project progress and ensure milestones and targets are achieved.
  • Identify project risks, delays, and potential issues and implement appropriate corrective actions.
  • Review construction drawings, specifications, method statements, and technical submissions.
  • Manage project costs, variations, claims, and contractual matters.
  • Ensure construction activities comply with approved designs, specifications, quality standards, and statutory requirements.
  • Coordinate with the Planning, Contracts, QS/Commercial, Design, QA/QC, HSE, and Procurement teams.
  • Conduct regular project meetings and prepare progress reports for management and clients.
  • Ensure proper documentation, reporting, and project records are maintained.
  • Monitor subcontractor performance and ensure compliance with project requirements.
  • Ensure all construction activities are carried out in accordance with health, safety, and environmental requirements.
  • Manage project handover, testing and commissioning, completion documentation, and final close-out.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 8–12 years of relevant experience in construction/project management, preferably with experience managing large-scale construction projects.
  • Proven experience in managing projects from commencement through completion and handover.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, project planning, contracts, cost control, and quality management.
  • Good understanding of construction drawings, specifications, schedules, and contractual documents.
  • Strong leadership, communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and work effectively under tight deadlines.
  • Good knowledge of project management tools and Microsoft Office; experience with Primavera P6 or MS Project is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with relevant local building regulations, safety requirements, and industry standards.
  • Strong commercial and contractual awareness.
  • Ability to lead multidisciplinary project teams and subcontractors.
  • Professional certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, or relevant construction/project management qualifications will be an advantage.
  • Candidates with relevant experience in major building, civil, infrastructure, or M&E projects are preferred.
