Job Summary: The Construction Project Manager is responsible for the overall development, management and successful completion of the project. In this capacity, the role is responsible for managerial, organizational, supervisory, coordination and decision-making activities throughout the project lifecycle.

The role oversees the project documentation process from the receipt and review of the design documentation, through the design review and approval stages, inspections and control activities during construction, to the handover of completed works, obtaining the occupancy permit and completion of the final acceptance and commissioning process.



Requirements

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead the overall planning, management and successful delivery of the project, ensuring alignment with the approved budget, schedule, procurement plan and project objectives.
  • Manage and monitor project costs, budgets and deviations, working closely with the relevant Company structures to identify, analyze and control project costs.
  • Coordinate the preparation, implementation and monitoring of the project work schedule and procurement schedule, ensuring timely progress and effective coordination with the Procurement Department.
  • Oversee the implementation and completion of all technical and legal documentation throughout the project lifecycle, from construction permit and project documentation through construction, commissioning, final acceptance and handover to the Client.
  • Coordinate with the Company's internal departments, project stakeholders and Investor/Client to ensure effective communication, alignment of requirements and smooth project execution.
  • Ensure that construction works are carried out in accordance with Company standards, applicable technical regulations and approved project documentation, monitoring quality, progress and compliance across the relevant sites.
  • Review and approve monthly progress statements and project reports, including overall and cost reports, and ensure that project requirements, objectives, decisions and changes are properly documented and reflected in the project documentation.
  • Manage the project's technical and administrative structure, including determining staffing needs, organizing responsibilities, assigning and monitoring tasks, providing technical guidance and ensuring effective performance management of the project team.
  • Manage and monitor contractual matters, including technical aspects of construction contracts, specifications and project standards, contract amendments/change orders, ongoing contract compliance and applicable penalties.
  • Prepare regular and short-term project progress plans and reports, identifying potential risks, deviations and corrective actions required to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Provide technical and administrative support and guidance to contractors and relevant stakeholders, facilitating the resolution of technical issues, uncertainties and project-related challenges.
  • Ensure the effective implementation of the Company's technical and administrative procedures and maintain complete, accurate and up-to-date project documentation throughout all project stages.
  • Develop and support the professional growth of the project team through continuous feedback, performance monitoring and evaluation, in coordination with the Human Resources Department, and recommend promotions, development opportunities or corrective actions where appropriate.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned in accordance with the requirements of the project and the Company.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related field;
  • Master’s degree is an advantage.


Requirements:


  • Minimum 15 years of relevant experience, including at least 7 years in a Project Manager/Construction Manager role.
  • Proven experience in delivering medium-to-large construction projects from planning and permitting through construction, commissioning and handover.
  • Strong knowledge of project planning, budgeting, cost control, procurement, contracts, change orders, risk management and progress reporting.
  • Solid understanding of construction legislation, technical standards and project documentation requirements.
  • Proven ability to manage multidisciplinary teams, contractors, subcontractors, consultants and Client/Investor relationships.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to clearly communicate project issues, propose solutions and prepare effective reports and presentations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent command of English; knowledge of another European language is considered an advantage.
  • Good working knowledge of AutoCAD, Microsoft Excel and MS Project and other relevant project management/design software.
  • Proactive, flexible and adaptable, with a strong sense of initiative and the ability to respond effectively to project requirements and changing priorities.
  • Very good command of English.
  • Strong leadership, negotiation, communication, analytical and decision-making skills, with a high level of ownership, accountability and results orientation.
