CEG is seeking a driven, field-focused Construction Project Manager to lead projects from pre-construction through final closeout. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who understands the realities of construction execution, thrives in fast-paced environments, and is accountable for delivering projects safely, on time, and within budget.
As a Construction Project Manager at CEG, you will take ownership of the full construction lifecycle—coordinating field operations, managing subcontractors, maintaining schedules, and ensuring all work meets strict federal, safety, and quality standards.

What You’ll Do:
Construction & Project Execution
- Lead construction projects from mobilization through closeout, ensuring successful field execution
- Develop and manage detailed project schedules, work plans, and construction timelines
- Oversee daily construction activities, ensuring alignment with scope, specifications, and contract requirements
- Coordinate closely with superintendents, field staff, and subcontractors to drive progress
Field Operations & Coordination
- Manage subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers to ensure timely and efficient performance
- Conduct site visits and monitor construction progress, quality, and safety compliance
- Resolve field issues, conflicts, and delays quickly to maintain project momentum
Client & Government Interface
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, including federal and Department of Defense representatives
- Maintain strong communication with contracting officers, inspectors, and stakeholders
- Provide regular updates on project status, risks, and performance
Quality, Safety & Compliance
- Enforce strict adherence to safety standards, including OSHA and site-specific requirements
- Ensure all construction meets quality control standards and complies with federal contracts and regulations
- Support QA/QC processes, inspections, and documentation requirements
Budget & Risk Management
- Track project budgets, costs, and forecasts to ensure financial performance
- Identify risks early and implement mitigation strategies to avoid delays or cost overruns
- Prepare and present project reports, including schedule updates, cost tracking, and risk assessments
What You Bring:
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Environmental Science or a related field
- 5+ years of relevant project management experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Project preferred)
- Demonstrated ability to analyze data, solve problems, and present findings clearly
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Proven ability to build and maintain strong working relationships across all levels
Preferred Experience & Credentials
- Experience working on federal government or Department of Defense projects is highly desirable
- Project Management training or certification (PMP or similar)
- OSHA 10, 30, and/or 40-hour certification
- USACE QA/QC certification
- Professional certifications such as PE, PG, PMP, or similar are strongly encouraged
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary Range: $85,000 – $115,000 per year (commensurate with experience and location)
