The Construction Project Manager I (CPM 1) provides core support for system construction and facility projects through documentation control, coordination, and field-verification tasks. This role assists CPM 2/CPM 3 staff on enabling projects, small to mid-sized capital efforts, design coordination, and compliance documentation such as ICCRA/PCRA. The CPM 1 applies foundational construction knowledge, participates in drawing and lifecycle project reviews, and develops competency in healthcare regulatory standards while working in active, occupied healthcare environments. The CPM 1 supports construction and facilities projects by executing assigned tasks under defined supervision. Focuses on documentation, coordination, and task completion with frequent oversight.

30% – Documentation & Coordination
• Maintain meeting minutes, action logs, RFI logs, and submittal tracking.
• Update eBuilder project files and cost logs under supervision.

25% – Field & Design Support
• Assist PM2/PM3 with field verification, punch lists, and basic drawing checks.
• Support bid-document reviews and project specification reviews.

20% – Stakeholder & Meeting Support
• Prepare agendas, assist with scheduling, and coordinate communication with A/E teams and contractors.

15% – Regulatory & Safety Support
• Support ICCRA/PCRA documentation requirements.
• Develop working knowledge of FGI, Joint Commission, and NFPA fundamentals.

10% – Budget & Schedule Support
• Write purchase orders, track PO and invoice data, and maintain budget-related logs.
• Complete close-out documentation and processes per departmental standards.

Eligibility Requirements:

Oversight Reduction: Demonstrates ability to manage assigned projects with reduced oversight
Execution: Consistently advances project tasks week over week
Closeout Discipline: Independently closes routine project items w/complete documentation in eBuilder w/o prompting
Audit Compliance: Projects close out properly with successful completion verified by audit and Heather Landry’s team
Regulatory Knowledge: Applies healthcare construction and regulatory standards accurately (FGI, NFPA)
Chain of Command: Consistently follows established chain of command
Work Quality: Produces work requiring minimal rework

Ineligibility Indicators:

Requires frequent reminders to advance work
Progress stalls without supervision
Escalates issues without attempting resolution
Inconsistent follow-through
Inconsistent use of chain of command; escalates directly to local market stakeholders instead of department leadership

  • 3 years Commercial construction project coordination experience required (including Plant and Military)
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
