Construction Project Manager - Monterey, CA

Based in Carlsbad, California, RQ delivers integrated design and construction solutions through dedicated project teams supporting jobsites nationwide.

The company specializes in large-scale, fast-track ground-up construction projects for both government and private-sector clients, with extensive experience supporting Department of Defense programs and facilities.

RQ is currently seeking a qualified Construction Project Manager to join our West Coast Field Operations group supporting military construction projects in Monterey, California. This position oversees all phases of construction-from planning and preconstruction through project closeout-while ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and in alignment with company Mission, Vision, and Values.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary range: $130,000-$160,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred; equivalent field experience may be considered
  • Minimum 2 years of experience managing commercial construction projects
  • At least 6 years of progressively responsible experience within the construction industry, including roles such as Project Engineer, Assistant Project Manager, or similar positions
  • Prior experience with Design-Build projects preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Experience with construction software such as Primavera P3/P6, BIM platforms, Revit, and Viewpoint is advantageous
  • CPR, First Aid, and OSHA 30 certifications required or ability to obtain shortly after hire; STS certification is beneficial
  • LEED Green Associate or LEED AP credentials are a plus
