Construction Project Manager

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Construction Project Manager to lead construction projects from planning through completion, ensuring delivery within schedule, budget, quality standards, client requirements, and Singapore regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and manage construction projects from commencement to completion to achieve timely and quality delivery
• Develop detailed project schedules, work plans, and resource allocation strategies to optimize efficiency
• Coordinate effectively with clients, consultants, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to align project objectives
• Supervise site operations to enforce safety protocols and ensure efficient work execution
• Monitor project progress regularly and implement corrective actions to address deviations
• Ensure compliance with Workplace Safety and Health (WSH), BCA, MOM, and other statutory regulations to maintain legal and safety standards
• Prepare and review project budgets, cost estimates, procurement plans, and progress claims to control financial performance
• Manage comprehensive project documentation including contracts, drawings, reports, variation orders, and correspondence for accurate record-keeping
• Conduct regular site inspections, progress meetings, and technical coordination meetings to maintain project alignment
• Resolve technical, operational, and contractual issues promptly to minimize disruptions
• Review and approve subcontractor work, invoices, and project deliverables to ensure quality and contractual adherence
• Maintain clear and effective communication with all project stakeholders to foster collaboration and transparency
• Ensure projects are completed within approved timelines, budgets, and quality standards to meet client expectations
• Prepare project completion reports, handover documentation, and defect management plans for smooth project closure
• Lead and mentor project engineers, site supervisors, and site personnel to build capable and motivated teams

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in construction project management
• Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, project planning, budgeting, and contract administration
• Familiarity with Singapore construction regulations, Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) requirements, BCA standards, and MOM regulations
• Experience managing commercial, residential, industrial, or infrastructure projects
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, AutoCAD, and other project management software
• Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines under pressure
• Good organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams
• Willingness to travel between project sites as required
• Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and commitment to safety and quality
• Ability to lead diverse teams and maintain strong client relationships
• Knowledge of quality management systems and risk management practices
