CONSTRUCTION SECTION MANAGER
Job Responsibilities:
- Plan, lead and coordinate daily site operations for civil, structural and underground construction works.
- Prepare, update and monitor construction working programs, look-ahead schedules and site utilization plans.
- Coordinate closely with design, construction, planning, safety and quality teams to resolve technical and site issues.
- Liaise with subcontractors, consultants, authorities and stakeholders to ensure smooth work execution and timely approvals.
- Review and support the preparation of method statements, risk assessments, safe work procedures and related construction submissions.
- Lead site teams and subcontractors to achieve project milestones while maintaining high standards of safety, quality and productivity.
- Support project management in progress reporting, coordination meetings, stakeholder updates and recovery planning where required.
Requirements:
- Degree in Civil Engineering, preferably presenting relevant post-graduate credentials.
- Minimum 10 years of Singapore relevant civil engineering infrastructure experience.
- At least 5 years of direct A1 main contractor experience in large scale LTA projects (contract value in excess of S$500 million)
- Strong working knowledge of construction sequencing, temporary works interfaces, site planning, subcontractor coordination and authority or stakeholder management.
- Experience coordinating with consultants, subcontractors, utility agencies, authorities and project stakeholders.
- Able to prepare or review construction programs, method statements, risk assessments and safe work procedures.
- PMP or equivalent professional certification will be advantageous.
- Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving and coordination skills.
- Able to work in a fast-paced site environment and manage multiple work fronts concurrently and committed to long work hours to meet tight project deadlines (6 days week, 9.5 hours daily).
