Construction Site Engineer
Summary
Oversee daily construction site operations, ensuring compliance with plans, safety regulations, and quality standards while coordinating teams and resources.
Job Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily site construction activities to ensure work is carried out according to approved drawings, specifications, and project schedules.
- Monitor site progress, quality of workmanship, and compliance with safety regulations and company procedures.
- Coordinate with project managers, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and relevant authorities on technical and site matters.
- Review construction drawings and resolve technical issues with the project team.
- Plan and monitor manpower, materials, equipment, and resources to achieve project milestones.
- Conduct site inspections and ensure compliance with quality standards and contractual requirements.
- Prepare site reports, progress updates, inspection records, method statements, and other project documentation.
- Attend site meetings and liaise with clients, consultants, and subcontractors on project coordination.
- Assist in material procurement, scheduling, and site logistics.
- Identify site issues and recommend practical engineering solutions to minimize delays and maintain project quality.
- Ensure compliance with Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) requirements and Singapore construction regulations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- At least 2 years of relevant experience in the construction or civil engineering industry.
- Able to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and construction methods.
- Knowledge of Singapore construction practices and relevant codes and regulations.
- Good communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; knowledge of AutoCAD is an advantage.
- Able to work independently and under pressure to meet project deadlines.
- Possess a strong sense of responsibility, teamwork, and attention to detail.
