Construction Site Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Site Engineer to join our project team. You will supervise daily site activities, coordinate with contractors, and ensure engineering works are executed safely, on schedule, and per contract specifications.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate project planning and monitor daily site progress with Main Contractors to ensure alignment with the master construction schedule
• Supervise on-site engineering works to ensure compliance with contract drawings, technical specifications, quality standards, and Workplace Safety & Health (WSH) regulations
• Maintain accurate daily site logs, manpower records, site progress photos, and work status reports to document site activities
• Track, document, and manage variation orders (VOs) and additional work claims submitted to clients for contract support
• Prepare regular correspondence and progress reports identifying site issues and proactively recommend corrective actions or value-added technical solutions
• Attend site meetings and liaise with consultants and Main Contractors to resolve technical site matters and support stakeholder coordination

Required competencies and certifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or a recognized construction-related discipline
• Minimum 6 years of relevant construction industry experience
• Ability to read and interpret civil structural drawings and contract specifications
• Willingness to work site hours including 5.5/6-day work weeks and support shift work during critical project phases.
• To be stationed in project site office.

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Basic familiarity with project scheduling and CAD software such as AutoCAD and MS Project
• Prior experience working on LTA projects and structural works
