Job Description

Oracle is seeking a Singapore-based Principal Site Selection Manager, reporting to the Director of APAC Site Selection. The successful candidate will lead the origination, structuring, and execution of data center site opportunities across targeted metros and regions. This role will partner closely with Capacity Planning, Engineering, Data Hall Design, Construction, Delivery, Legal, Security, Networking, Compliance, and Operations teams throughout each project and every stage of the transaction lifecycle. The role will also be responsible for preparing and presenting periodic updates for internal governance in collaboration with key stakeholders. The ideal candidate will bring demonstrated strength in deal origination, end-to-end transaction management, stakeholder engagement, commercial negotiations, and disciplined execution.

Responsibilities

  • Develop high-quality metro strategies and originate opportunities that meet business requirements.
  • Partner with capacity planners and network specialists to define capacity needs and site requirements across assigned metros and regions.
  • Lead the end-to-end deal cycle from initial demand signal through general availability, ensuring performance against critical business metrics.
  • Manage multiple concurrent transactions and coordinate internal teams, consultants, vendors, and external stakeholders.
  • Lead cross-functional teams in evaluating, selecting, negotiating, and recommending lease opportunities for approval.
  • Lead commercial negotiations with providers, in partnership with Corporate Procurement, to execute contracts.
  • Partner with Finance to conduct total cost of ownership analyses of lease-versus-build options and recommend the optimal strategy for assigned metros.
  • Maintain systems of record to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and reliable executive reporting.
  • Provide analytical reporting and support day-to-day team activities as needed.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in site selection for industrial-scale projects, including real estate evaluation, acquisition, development, lease agreements, and infrastructure delivery.
  • Knowledge of the data center industry, including market dynamics and key market players, and data center models, including colocation leases and build-to-suit solutions.
  • General understanding of land acquisition, real estate development, utility agreements, sustainable development practices, financial modeling, local regulations, and permitting requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex negotiations and initiatives to successful completion, with strong ownership and a results-oriented approach.
  • Effective independent contributor and collaborative team player, able to work autonomously while seeking guidance and alignment when needed.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate complex, non-routine work in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment.
  • Excellent stakeholder-management skills, including the ability to incorporate cross-functional input and advance contract negotiations and technical due diligence.
  • Positive, adaptable, and dependable, with the ability to contribute effectively in a fast-changing and unpredictable environment.
  • Willingness to travel as required including internationally.
