CONSTRUCTION SUPERVISOR

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Construction Supervisor to lead daily construction activities at project sites, ensuring safety, quality, and timely completion by coordinating workers, subcontractors, and resources effectively.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily construction activities and workers at assigned project sites to ensure efficient operations
• Plan and allocate manpower, materials, tools, and equipment based on daily work requirements to meet project goals
• Monitor site progress and ensure construction works adhere to project schedules and timelines
• Verify that construction activities comply with approved drawings, specifications, and workmanship standards
• Collaborate with Project Managers, Site Engineers, subcontractors, suppliers, and site personnel to resolve operational issues
• Conduct regular site inspections to identify and address workmanship, safety, or operational concerns promptly
• Provide clear work instructions and guidance to workers and subcontractors to maintain quality and safety standards
• Track workers’ attendance, productivity, and performance to optimize site efficiency
• Coordinate delivery, storage, and usage of construction materials and equipment to support uninterrupted workflow
• Inspect completed works and arrange for rectification of defects or deviations as necessary
• Maintain accurate site records including daily progress, manpower deployment, and relevant documentation
• Participate in site meetings and deliver progress updates to management and stakeholders
• Ensure proper housekeeping and organization of the construction worksite to promote safety and efficiency
• Enforce Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) requirements, safe work procedures, and company safety policies consistently
• Ensure workers use required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and comply with site safety regulations
• Report accidents, hazards, unsafe conditions, or other site issues promptly to management and safety personnel
• Assist in resolving site coordination and operational challenges to minimize project delays
• Perform additional site supervision and construction-related duties as assigned by management

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Experience in construction site supervision is preferred
• Knowledge of construction processes, site operations, and work sequencing
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
• Understanding of workplace safety requirements and construction-site procedures
• Ability to supervise and coordinate workers from multiple trades
• Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple site activities simultaneously
• Responsible, organized, and able to meet project deadlines
• Willingness to work at various construction project locations as required
• Relevant construction or safety certifications are advantageous
• Compliance with applicable Singapore construction and Workplace Safety and Health requirements is mandatory

• Work is primarily performed at construction project sites
