Construction Supervisor

Summary
Oversee on-site construction crews, enforce safety rules, and keep projects on schedule in Singapore’s building industry.
Job Responsibilities
- Assist and support Project Manager in handling and monitoring the progress of project.
- Assist in manpower planning, resource scheduling, and site work arrangements.
- Supervise and coordinate construction activities at project sites.
- Ensure all works are carried out in compliance with Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) regulations, quality standards, and project requirements.
- Maintain proper housekeeping and ensure a safe working environment on site.
- Monitor work progress and ensure projects are completed within the scheduled timeline.
- Administer first aid during emergencies (where applicable) and report incidents immediately to the Construction Manager, Safety Supervisor, and office administration.
- Record workers' attendance and submit attendance records to the office.
- Conduct regular site inspections, identify potential risks, and implement appropriate safety measures.
- Work closely with and report directly to the Construction Manager.
- Supervise workers and subcontractors during project execution.
- Resolve site-related issues, including work injury incidents, and report them promptly to management.
- Manage worker-related matters and liaise closely with the administration team.
- Act as the liaison between workers, the company, and the main contractor to ensure effective communication.
- Arrange and attend site meetings and prepare the necessary documentation.
- Perform any other duties assigned by management from time to time.
Job Requirements
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in the construction industry, including experience as a Construction Supervisor.
- Able to read and interpret construction drawings.
- Strong problem-solving, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Relevant industry certifications will be an advantage.
- Comfortable working in outdoor construction site environments under sun exposure.
- Hands-on and proactive in managing site operations.
- Good conflict resolution and crisis management skills.
- Detail-oriented, independent, and possesses strong leadership abilities.
- Able to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
- Familiar with Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) regulations and practices.
- Willing to travel between different project sites.
- Able to respond to emergency site matters outside normal working hours when required.
- Shift work and weekend duty is required.
- Able to speak in simple English and Bengali as need to communicate with Local, Chinese and Bangladeshi workers.
