Key Responsibilities

Perform a variety of tasks involving physical labor at construction sites.
Assist in loading and unloading building materials and equipment.
Operate hand and power tools of all types, including air hammers, earth tampers, cement mixers, small mechanical hoists, surveying and measuring equipment, and a variety of other equipment.
Clean and prepare construction sites by removing debris and possible hazards.
Dig trenches, set braces to support the sides of excavations, erect scaffolding, and clean up rubble and debris.
Mix, pour, and spread concrete and other materials.
Follow construction plans and instructions from supervisors or more experienced workers.
Measure and cut materials to specified dimensions.
Assist in the installation of structures and fixtures, such as windows, doors, and frames.
Perform minor repairs on existing structures.
