Consultant

Open 28d

How you help our clients

As a consultant, you help clients get the most out of AFAS software. You look beyond the question being asked, take responsibility, and make a difference for clients.

You will be involved in tasks such as:

  • Solving substantive questions about our software.
  • Analyzing and improving business processes.
  • Translating client requests into smart, working solutions.
  • Engaging in substantive discussions and providing well-founded advice.
  • Collaborating with colleagues from consultancy, support, product development, and success management.

You take responsibility, act as a reliable sparring partner for clients and colleagues, and ensure that clients make progress.

How you grow in your role

You bring at least 1.5 years of experience working with clients or AFAS software. What that experience looks like varies from person to person. What counts is that you know how to work with clients and that you want to continue developing yourself.

Because you already have that foundation, you will start with an accelerated traineeship. During the traineeship, you will quickly become familiar with our working methods, software, and clients. On average, you will grow into a consultant role within a year.

Phase 1

  • You get to know AFAS, our software, and our way of working.
  • You handle client questions independently and learn to set priorities.
  • You combine practical work with targeted training, both for the software and for soft skills.
  • You learn how to provide advice and manage expectations.

Phase 2

  • You shadow consultancy projects.
  • You actively contribute ideas for client solutions.
  • You receive increasing responsibility within client cases.
  • You present your advice and learn to substantiate your choices.

How you make an impact with clients

After the traineeship, you will work as a consultant with clients to set up and improve their processes. You observe, ask the right questions, and discover where things can be done smarter. Not just in the software, but also in the way clients work.

You translate client questions into solutions they can actually use. You contribute ideas, but you also dare to make choices and honestly say what you think works best. This ensures that improvements do not remain just ideas, but are actually implemented. Clients work smarter with AFAS and move forward step by step. And you see the direct results of your work and grow along with it.
