Key responsibilities
· Develop quantitative models for electricity-market and power-system analysis;
· Support long-term capacity-expansion and resource-adequacy studies;
· Conduct electricity-demand, market-price and operational-data analysis;
· Assist with merchant electricity-price forecasting and market outlooks;
· Undertake research on electricity-market regulations and energy policies;
· Interpret modelling results and prepare client presentations and reports;
· Support consulting engagements across Singapore and the Asia-Pacific region; and
· Collaborate with project teams and communicate findings to clients.
Requirements
· A passion for understanding the complex and constantly evolving energy sector as it rapidly undergoes an extraordinary transition and transformation.
· A bachelor’s degree or higher in economics, finance, engineering, natural sciences, or another quantitative discipline, with strong academic results. GPA above 3.3(out of 4.0) or Upper Second 2:1 degree classification or equivalent i preferred.
· Relevant experience in energy consulting, electricity-market analysis, power-system modelling or quantitative research;
· Proficiency in quantitative analysis and statistical modelling;
· A fundamental interest in power market modelling and consulting as a career choice.
· Ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary and regional project teams
· Experience with Python, GAMS, R or similar analytical tools, together with proficiency in Excel.
