Position overview

A leading healthcare facility in Dubai is seeking a highly qualified and experienced consultant in family medicine to provide comprehensive primary healthcare services. The ideal candidate will specialize in diagnosing, treating, and managing a wide range of acute and chronic medical conditions while promoting preventive healthcare and patient wellness.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive primary healthcare services to patients of all age groups.
• Diagnose and manage acute and chronic medical conditions.
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
• Conduct routine health examinations, screenings, and preventive care assessments.
• Manage chronic diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, and cardiovascular conditions.
• Provide immunizations, health education, and lifestyle counseling.
• Coordinate patient referrals to specialists when necessary.
• Maintain accurate medical records and ensure continuity of patient care.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to improve patient outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with DHA regulations and hospital clinical protocols.
• Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and professional development activities.

Qualifications and requirements

• MBBS or equivalent recognized medical qualification.
• Recognized postgraduate qualification in family medicine.
• Board certification, CCT, fellowship, or equivalent recognized qualification.
• Relevant post-specialization clinical experience as per UAE PQR requirements.
• Valid DHA consultant license or eligibility, or ability to obtain one.
• Strong knowledge of primary care, preventive medicine, and chronic disease management.
• Excellent communication, clinical decision-making, and interpersonal skills.
