Roles & responsibilities

As a Consultant in our team you will be responsible, amongst other things for:

Supporting in the delivery of infrastructure valuation projects for sectors such as power & utilities, transportation & social infrastructure
Develop and review detailed financial models and perform in-depth financial analysis using various valuation methodologies (Public company analysis, Precedent transaction analysis, and Discounted cash flow)
Prepare high-quality client deliverables, including clear Valuation reports and presentations
Understanding the delivery models applied to the infrastructure projects lifecycle across construction, operations, financing & refinancing phases
Monitor market trends, regulatory developments and transaction comparable in the infrastructure sector and benchmark valuation assumptions (discount rates, risk premiums, multiples) using market data
Actively building and managing the relationships and interface with Global KPMG Infrastructure teams and other deal advisory professionals
Mentoring junior team members on engagements
Supporting KPMG onshore teams and contributing to knowledge management to support practice development

Educational qualifications

MBA / PGDBM / CFA/CA

Prior experience

Relevant experience (3-5 years) gained in either Valuations, Corporate Finance, Infrastructure Investment, Fund-raising, Project Finance or similar deal experience in the relevant sector/ propositions (as applicable)

Mandatory technical & functional skills

Strong understanding of valuation methodologies (Comparable company, Precedent transaction, DCF, etc.)
Be skilled in valuation, financial modelling and financial analysis
Excellent report writing skills
Experience of valuations, buy/sell side transactions, project financing in infrastructure sector (preferred but not mandatory)
Financial analysis and interpretation, in particular DCF methods (NPV and IRR)
Have prepared infrastructure models from scratch and/or have significant experience into model audits/reviews
Have knowledge of financing structures, particularly debt and equity finance and other types of project-based financing
Have an ability to interpret and present outputs from financial models to support the commercial advice to onshore/client
Good working knowledge of accounting and financial statements
Strong problem-solving skills; Knowledge of advanced functions in MS Excel, MS PowerPoint & MS Word
Have mentored, coached junior team members (preferred but not mandatory)
