We are looking for a skilled and compassionate consultant ophthalmologist to join our healthcare team. The consultant ophthalmologist will be responsible for diagnosing and managing a wide range of eye conditions, performing surgical procedures, and providing excellent patient care using the latest ophthalmic technologies. This role requires a professional committed to advancing eye health and delivering exceptional clinical services.
Key responsibilities
- Perform detailed eye examinations and diagnostic assessments to identify visual disorders.
- Develop and execute treatment plans, including medical management and surgical interventions.
- Carry out ophthalmic surgeries such as cataract extraction, glaucoma surgery, and refractive procedures.
- Provide post-operative care and monitor patient recovery and outcomes.
- Educate patients and their families on eye health, disease prevention, and treatment options.
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with medical standards and regulations.
- Stay current with advancements in ophthalmology through ongoing professional development.
Requirements
- Medical degree with a specialization in ophthalmology.
- Valid and current medical license to practice.
- At least 5 years’ experience in a consultant ophthalmologist role.
- Proficiency in performing a range of ophthalmic surgical procedures.
- Strong diagnostic skills and clinical judgment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Detail-oriented and organized with a commitment to quality care.
- Fluency in English; additional language skills a plus.
