We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Consultant Pediatric Endocrinologist to join a leading healthcare provider in Dubai, UAE. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive diagnosis, treatment, and long-term management of endocrine disorders in infants, children, and adolescents while working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary pediatric team.
Key responsibilities
- Diagnose and manage a wide range of pediatric endocrine disorders, including:
- Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes mellitus
- Growth disorders and short stature
- Thyroid disorders
- Adrenal and pituitary disorders
- Pubertal disorders
- Obesity and metabolic disorders
- Calcium and bone metabolism disorders
- Disorders of sexual development
- Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Interpret endocrine laboratory investigations, imaging, and dynamic hormone testing.
- Manage insulin pump therapy, continuous glucose monitoring (CGM), and advanced diabetes care where applicable.
- Provide counseling and education to patients and families regarding disease management and lifestyle modifications.
- Collaborate with pediatricians, neonatologists, pediatric surgeons, dietitians, psychologists, and other specialists to deliver coordinated patient care.
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and continuing medical education (CME).
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and ensure compliance with hospital policies, clinical governance, and patient safety standards.
- Supervise and mentor junior physicians and contribute to teaching and research activities where applicable.
Qualifications & requirements
- MBBS/MD with a recognized postgraduate qualification in Pediatrics.
- Fellowship or board certification in Pediatric Endocrinology (or equivalent recognized consultant qualification).
- Minimum 5–10 years of post-specialization experience at the consultant level.
- Eligibility for or possession of a Dubai Health Authority (DHA) Consultant license. Candidates eligible for licensing are encouraged to apply.
- Expertise in managing complex pediatric endocrine and metabolic disorders.
- Strong clinical, communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to providing compassionate, family-centered, evidence-based care.
Preferred candidate profile
- Experience working in internationally accredited children's hospitals or tertiary care centers.
- Fellowship training in Pediatric Diabetes or related subspecialties is an added advantage.
- UAE or GCC experience is preferred but not mandatory.
