Consultant Psychiatrist

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Consultant Psychiatrist to join our esteemed hospital located in Himachal Pradesh. The ideal candidate will possess an MBBS degree along with an MD or DNB in Psychiatry, adhering to the norms set by the National Medical Commission (NMC). This role is pivotal in providing high-quality psychiatric care and clinical excellence to our patients. As a Consultant Psychiatrist, you will be responsible for conducting thorough psychiatric evaluations and diagnoses, managing various mental health disorders including schizophrenia, depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety, and obsessive-compulsive disorder. You will also provide treatment for psychotic disorders and substance use issues, ensuring comprehensive de-addiction treatment where necessary. Key responsibilities include: - Performing mental status examinations and crisis interventions. - Developing and implementing effective treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs. - Engaging in patient counseling and psychotherapy to support mental health recovery. - Managing medication and psychopharmacology to optimize patient outcomes. - Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic patient care. Working hours will be as per hospital policy, and a notice period of up to one month is preferred.
