Consultant / Specialist - Hematologist in a Leading Healthcare Facility

We are seeking an experienced Consultant / Specialist Hematologist to join a leading healthcare facility in the UAE. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive diagnosis and management of a broad range of hematological and blood-related disorders, working closely with multidisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess, diagnose, and manage patients with benign and malignant hematological disorders.
  • Manage conditions including anemia, thrombocytopenia, coagulation disorders, hemoglobinopathies, leukemia, lymphoma, and myeloma.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans based on clinical assessment and diagnostic findings.
  • Interpret hematological investigations, bone marrow studies, flow cytometry, and other relevant tests.
  • Manage patients requiring blood transfusion and other hematological therapies.
  • Provide appropriate supportive and follow-up care for hematology and oncology patients.
  • Perform or supervise bone marrow aspiration and biopsy procedures where appropriately trained.
  • Collaborate with medical oncologists, pathologists, radiologists, transfusion specialists, and other multidisciplinary teams.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary case discussions and clinical governance activities.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and clinical documentation.
  • Contribute to teaching, research, quality improvement, and continuing professional development.

Requirements

  • MBBS/MD or equivalent medical degree from a recognized institution.
  • Recognized postgraduate qualification in Hematology / Clinical Hematology / Hematology & Oncology.
  • Relevant post-specialty clinical experience.
  • Strong experience in diagnosing and managing hematological disorders.
  • Experience in hematological malignancies and/or transplant medicine is an advantage.
  • Valid professional registration/license in the country of practice.
  • Excellent clinical judgment, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare environment.
  • Consultant candidates: Appropriate senior-level qualifications and substantial post-specialty experience.
  • Candidates with UK CCT/UK specialist qualifications, American Board, Australian Board, or South African Board are highly encouraged to apply.
