Consultant / Specialist - Hematologist in a Leading Healthcare Facility

We are seeking an experienced Consultant / Specialist Hematologist to join a leading healthcare facility in the UAE. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive diagnosis and management of a broad range of hematological and blood-related disorders, working closely with multidisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess, diagnose, and manage patients with benign and malignant hematological disorders.
- Manage conditions including anemia, thrombocytopenia, coagulation disorders, hemoglobinopathies, leukemia, lymphoma, and myeloma.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on clinical assessment and diagnostic findings.
- Interpret hematological investigations, bone marrow studies, flow cytometry, and other relevant tests.
- Manage patients requiring blood transfusion and other hematological therapies.
- Provide appropriate supportive and follow-up care for hematology and oncology patients.
- Perform or supervise bone marrow aspiration and biopsy procedures where appropriately trained.
- Collaborate with medical oncologists, pathologists, radiologists, transfusion specialists, and other multidisciplinary teams.
- Participate in multidisciplinary case discussions and clinical governance activities.
- Maintain accurate patient records and clinical documentation.
- Contribute to teaching, research, quality improvement, and continuing professional development.
Requirements
- MBBS/MD or equivalent medical degree from a recognized institution.
- Recognized postgraduate qualification in Hematology / Clinical Hematology / Hematology & Oncology.
- Relevant post-specialty clinical experience.
- Strong experience in diagnosing and managing hematological disorders.
- Experience in hematological malignancies and/or transplant medicine is an advantage.
- Valid professional registration/license in the country of practice.
- Excellent clinical judgment, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare environment.
- Consultant candidates: Appropriate senior-level qualifications and substantial post-specialty experience.
- Candidates with UK CCT/UK specialist qualifications, American Board, Australian Board, or South African Board are highly encouraged to apply.
