Consultant / Specialist - Oral & Dental Surgeon

We are seeking an experienced Consultant / Specialist Oral & Dental Surgeon to join a leading healthcare facility in the UAE. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive surgical management of dental, oral, and maxillofacial conditions, including complex extractions, impacted teeth, oral pathology, and related surgical procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive assessment and diagnosis of oral and dental surgical conditions.
  • Perform surgical and complex tooth extractions, including impacted teeth.
  • Manage oral infections, cysts, benign lesions, and other oral surgical conditions.
  • Perform minor oral surgical procedures and biopsies where appropriately trained.
  • Manage dentoalveolar trauma and other oral/maxillofacial emergencies.
  • Collaborate with orthodontists, periodontists, prosthodontists, dentists, and other specialists.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans and provide appropriate pre- and post-operative care.
  • Counsel patients regarding treatment options, risks, benefits, and aftercare.
  • Maintain accurate clinical records and surgical documentation.
  • Adhere to infection-control, patient-safety, and clinical governance standards.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, teaching, and continuing professional development.

Requirements

  • BDS/DDS/DMD or equivalent recognized dental degree.
  • Recognized postgraduate qualification in Oral Surgery, Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, or a relevant dental surgical specialty.
  • Relevant post-specialty clinical experience.
  • Strong experience in oral and dentoalveolar surgical procedures.
  • Valid professional registration/license in the country of practice.
  • Excellent surgical skills, clinical judgment, and patient-management abilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Consultant candidates: Appropriate senior-level qualifications and substantial post-specialty experience.
  • Candidates with UK specialist qualifications, American Board, Australian Board, or South African Board are highly encouraged to apply.
