Consultant / Specialist - Pediatrics in a Leading Healthcare Facility

We are seeking an experienced Consultant / Specialist Pediatrician to join a leading healthcare facility in the UAE. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive medical care to infants, children, and adolescents, covering preventive, acute, and chronic pediatric conditions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess, diagnose, and manage pediatric patients from infancy through adolescence.
  • Provide routine pediatric consultations, developmental assessments, and preventive care.
  • Manage acute and chronic pediatric conditions, including respiratory, infectious, gastrointestinal, and developmental disorders.
  • Monitor growth, nutrition, immunization, and developmental milestones.
  • Manage pediatric emergencies and stabilize critically ill children when required.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans and provide appropriate follow-up care.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers regarding diagnosis and treatment.
  • Collaborate with pediatric subspecialists and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and clinical documentation.
  • Participate in clinical governance, quality improvement, teaching, and continuing professional development.

Requirements

  • MBBS/MD or equivalent medical degree from a recognized institution.
  • Recognized postgraduate qualification in Pediatrics / Paediatrics.
  • Relevant post-specialty clinical experience.
  • Strong experience in general pediatrics and management of common pediatric conditions.
  • Experience in pediatric emergency care is an advantage.
  • Valid professional registration/license in the country of practice.
  • Excellent clinical judgment, communication, and patient-management skills.
  • Consultant candidates: Appropriate senior-level qualifications and substantial post-specialty experience.
  • Candidates with UK CCT/UK specialist qualifications, American Board, Australian Board, or South African Board are highly encouraged to apply.
