CONSULTANT- WATER ADVISORY

Summary

Advises on water conservation and climate-resilient infrastructure for large developments, using modeling tools and data analysis to support sustainable water strategies.

WSP is seeking an experienced professional to work for water advisory role within our Earth & Environment team, supporting design and infrastructure projects across diverse sectors. The successful candidate will drive initiatives that enhance, water conservation, and climate resilience, ensuring sustainable outcomes for large-scale developments and infrastructure projects.

As a consultant water advisory, you will collaborate with architects, engineers, and planners to embed water solutions throughout the project lifecycle, leveraging advanced modeling tools and global best practices.

You will be joining a well-respected, large and dynamic team with a wide range of clients across different markets and sectors including national and local government, industrial, commercial and scientific sectors.

Successful candidate must be able to demonstrate experience in:

  • Water demand forecasting and data analysis.

  • Water balance assessments and utility performance analysis.

  • Basic hydraulic modelling using WaterGEMS, WaterCAD, EPANET, InfoWorks, or similar tools.

  • GIS analysis and mapping (ArcGIS or QGIS).

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and data management.

  • Research, benchmarking, and data collection.

  • Support development of water master plans and strategic studies.

Optional experience in:

  • Support NRW assessments.

  • Assist in preparing business cases and investment plans.

  • Power BI dashboard development and reporting.

  • Contribute to governance and institutional development.

  • Support proposal preparation, methodology writing, and report drafting.

  • Experience in water quality assessment and/or monitoring

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering / water resources engineering.

  • Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, and project management skills.

  • Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making ability with flexible mindset

  • Experience of working on multiple projects, simultaneously.

  • Collaborative mindset and outcome driven working method.
