The Secretariat of the WTO is seeking to fill an individual consultant position of Consultant under an individual Special Service Agreement (SSA).

Market Access Division

Deliverables

Under the supervision of Tina Bernard, the incumbent is expected to provide secretarial, administrative and logistical support in the preparation of and during formal and informal meetings and consultations held in-person, hybrid or fully virtual format; ensure proper processing of documents, notifications and reports related to Committees within the Market Access area, organize and manage divisional files and records; format, proof-read and edit documents, memos, minutes of meetings, etc.

Key deliverables include:

Provide secretarial and logistical support to committee work within the Market Access Division area; Prepare documents and coordinate arrangements related to committee meetings; Service committee meetings scheduled for the autumn.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education

Completed secondary education or equivalent technical or commercial school.

Knowledge and Skills

Technical knowledge and skills:

Strong capacity to handle large workloads efficiently while maintaining accuracy;

Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite MS Word particularly and ability to format documents according to set guidelines;

Proficiency in scheduling and hosting official virtual meetings;

Knowledge of and experience in handling Document Management Systems and Meeting applications;

Curiosity and interest to keep abreast of latest developments in technology and AI tools.

Experience

A minimum of 3-4 years of relevant experience.

Languages

Fluency in English and good knowledge of French and/or Spanish.

Terms and Conditions

The terms and conditions of this Agreement are set out herein and in the General Conditions applicable to Special Service Agreements (attached).

The Subscriber is expected to primarily work on-site.

Duration of Agreement

From 21 September 2026 to 18 December 2026, for 40 hours per week.

Fee structure

CHF 6,900 per month. The monthly fee assumes full-time work, 40 hours per week. For partial months worked, the payment will be prorated based on the number of days worked. The daily rate will be calculated by dividing the monthly fee by the total number of work days in the relevant month and multiplying this rate by the number of days actually worked.
