Containment Technician
Job Summary:
The Construction Containment Technician is responsible for implementing and maintaining containment measures during construction, renovation, and maintenance activities within a healthcare setting. This role ensures compliance with safety regulations, infection control standards, and overall cleanliness standards to protect patients, staff, and visitors from potential hazards.
Key Responsibilities:
Containment Setup: Establish and maintain proper containment barriers, including walls, doors, and signage, in areas undergoing construction or renovation.
Infection Control: Collaborate with infection control teams to adhere to protocols that minimize airborne contaminants and maintain a sterile environment.
Hazardous Material Handling: Safely manage and dispose of hazardous materials and waste in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations.
Monitoring and Inspection: Regularly inspect containment areas to ensure compliance with safety standards and report any breaches or issues to management.
Collaboration: Work closely with construction teams, facility management, and healthcare staff to coordinate containment efforts and minimize disruption to hospital operations.
