Content Creator & Social Media Manager

FoodSight builds the technology that tells commercial kitchens exactly what food they are throwing away. A camera and load cell sit over the bin, our platform turns that into decisions, and our customers are some of the largest catering and hospitality operators in Ireland, the UK and Europe.

We are hiring a Content Creator & Social Media Manager in Dublin. This is not a traditional social media management role.

There is a huge amount of genuinely interesting content sitting inside this business - kitchens, chefs, hardware, data, waste, climate, and the reality of building a company from Dublin. Almost none of it has been filmed or doucmented yet. We want someone who can go and get it.

You will work closely with our head of partnerships to build a content engine around food waste, sustainability, hospitality and startup life.

Tasks

You will turn ideas, conversations, site visits and everyday moments into content people actually want to watch.

  • Work directly with the team to plan, film and produce regular content
  • Film short-form video for LinkedIn, Instagram Reels, TikTok and YouTube Shorts
  • Develop content ideas, hooks, concepts and recurring series
  • Record and produce podcasts and longer-form conversations
  • Film founder interviews, talking-head content and customer conversations
  • Get into real kitchens - film chefs, operators and sustainability leads on site
  • Capture behind the scenes from the office, hardware builds, installs, events and trade shows
  • Appear and speak on camera yourself where relevant
  • Follow what is happening in food, hospitality, sustainability and climate tech, and turn it into timely content
  • Edit short-form video to a high standard
  • Repurpose podcasts and long-form content into multiple social clips
  • Write captions and prepare content for publishing
  • Manage day-to-day publishing across our channels
  • Track performance and use the insight to improve what comes next
  • Shape the overall aesthetic and creative direction of our social presence
  • Attend events, shoots and filming opportunities as required

Requirements

You are creative, confident and very online. You notice a new format before everyone else, save good campaigns for reference, and have strong opinions on why certain content works.

  • Confident filming and directing content
  • Comfortable speaking and appearing on camera
  • Strong eye for aesthetics and visual storytelling
  • Fluent in LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok and YouTube
  • Experienced editing video in CapCut, Premiere Pro, Final Cut or similar
  • Genuinely interested in food, hospitality, sustainability or technology, and able to make a technical subject feel human
  • Quick at spotting a trend and turning it into something relevant
  • Proactive, bringing ideas rather than waiting for briefs
  • Organised enough to hold a consistent publishing schedule
  • Comfortable working closely with a founder in a small team
  • Happy in a commercial kitchen at 6am if that is where the story is
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Based in Dublin and available to film in person regularly

Agency, marketing or B2B experience is useful but not essential. Creativity, taste and the ability to make great content matter more.

Benefits

  • Salary from EUR €30,000 - €35,000
  • 25 days annual leave
  • Full ownership of our creative direction.
  • Direct access to the founder, the customers and the product
  • Work that visibly reduces food waste

The goal is a consistent content engine around FoodSight. Content that is useful, entertaining and genuinely interesting, and that makes FoodSight the name people in food and hospitality associate with food waste.

If you can walk into the office with ideas, pick up a camera and make things happen, we want to hear from you.

Send your CV, a short cover letter and a brief intro video. In the video, tell us about yourself, why the role interests you and why you would be a good fit. Do not overthink it - we want to see your personality and how you come across on camera.

We review applications as they arrive and aim to come back to everyone within a week.
