Discussion

Summary

The Content & Design Associate drafts short-form copy and adapts design assets for reports, white papers, presentations and social media, managing content requests and maintaining brand consistency using tools like Canva, Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Figma and WordPress.

Job Scope

The Content & Design Associate provides content and design production support across 500’s communications, marketing and events work. The Associate owns the day-to-day drafting of copy and the adaptation of established design assets and templates, across reports, white papers, presentations, and social media collateral, ensuring materials are accurate, on brand and delivered on time. Taking on this recurring production work allows the senior design team to focus on larger brand projects and helps ensure the firm’s programs, funds and research are presented consistently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Draft clear, on-brand short-form copy for social media, newsletters, program collateral and partner-facing materials.

  • Produce and adapt design assets from established brand templates, such as reports, white papers, presentations and social graphics, maintaining full visual consistency with 500’s brand guidelines.

  • Support branding of research outputs so reports and studies are ready for partner and public distribution.

  • Manage a steady intake of small content and design requests from teams across the firm, prioritising work in coordination with the marketing lead.

  • Engage in weekly syncs to align output with the firm’s brand positioning and storytelling priorities.

  • Establish and maintain the shared asset and template library so current, correct brand materials are easy to find and reuse.

  • Provide production support for campaigns, program launches and events, including formatting, light image and scheduling of content.

  • Liaise with external vendors and agencies where needed to ensure accurate use of 500’s logo and brand guidelines.

  • Follow simple production processes (file naming, hand-offs, review steps) that keep turnaround times short and quality high.
