Content Editor / Proofreader (AI content quality control)

CBD Local Inc. is a US leader in CBD and hemp e-commerce with over $4M in monthly sales. We run SEO for Shopify brands in CBD, terpenes, hemp and wellness, and most of our first drafts are written with AI. We need a person who turns those drafts into content a real person wrote and signs off on quality before anything goes live.

What you will do: proofread and edit AI-written content in English (product pages, category pages, blog articles, landing pages); make it human - cut AI patterns, fix tone, rewrite weak passages, keep the facts straight; fact-check claims in CBD, terpenes and medical / wellness content and flag anything the client cannot say; quality control on every piece - keyword in H1 and copy, title and meta description, headings structure, internal links, no placeholders left; keep per-client style and terminology (each brand has its own voice and compliance rules); return a short QC note per piece: what was changed, what is blocked, what needs the SEO team.

What we need: English C1 or native-level writing, you spot a clumsy sentence and fix it fast; 2+ years editing or proofreading web content (e-commerce, health / wellness or SEO agency is a plus); comfortable with medical and supplement topics, you check sources instead of guessing; basic SEO literacy - you know what a title tag, meta description, H1 and keyword intent are; attention to detail, fast turnaround, reliable on deadlines.

Format: remote, full-time or part-time (tell us which), US-facing team. Test task: edit one AI draft and send a QC note. Let's roll!
