Content Editor

You will convert recorded events such as interviews, webcasts, and phone calls into accurate, organized transcripts. You will review, edit, and proofread transcripts for clarity and adherence to company standards, correct grammar, punctuation, and formatting errors, and ensure speaker names, product names, and numbers are captured verbatim. You will use in-house custom dictionaries and independent research to reflect industry-specific terminology, deliver transcripts within tight deadlines, and handle sensitive content with discretion.

Responsibilities

• Review, edit, and proofread transcripts for accuracy, clarity, and adherence to company standards and format
• Identify and correct errors in grammar, punctuation, spelling, formatting, and speaker and product identification
• Ensure transcripts are contextually accurate and reflect industry-specific terminology using custom dictionaries or independent research
• Organize, format, and deliver transcripts in the required format within set deadlines
• Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive content with discretion
• Maintain steady focus to achieve best possible turnaround times

Requirements

• Proven experience in transcription, editing, or a related field
• Strong listening skills and ability to understand different accents and audio qualities
• Excellent command of the English language including grammar, syntax, and punctuation
• Attention to detail and ability to produce error-free work
• Proficiency in text editing and document formatting software such as Microsoft Word and Google Docs
• Proficiency with tools such as instant messaging applications, Excel, and email
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple editing projects at once
• Familiarity with AI transcription tools is a plus
• Broad financial literacy and understanding of financial market concepts is a plus
• Knowledge of specific industries such as finance, tech, medical, or biotech and their terminologies is a plus
