Content Operations Manager - Center Of Excellence
Groupon connects 42 million customers with local experiences - restaurants, events, wellness and travel - and the million-plus merchants who deliver them. Our mission is to get people offline and into the real world at prices that make it possible. We're an AI-native company in the middle of a platform transformation, moving from a deals marketplace to an experience discovery platform that works for customers and merchants at the same time.
Groupon is building a Center of Excellence in Bengaluru, and we need Content Operations Managers who own quality end-to-end. AI now writes the first draft — your job is to be the judgment layer that makes it excellent, accurate, and trustworthy. You'll QA AI-generated content, hand-craft the marquee deals that carry the brand, and fix content escalations rather than just flagging them. If you've got a sharp editorial eye, work fluently alongside AI tools, and take ownership all the way to publish — this role is for you.
What You'll Do
- QA and proofread AI-drafted content before it goes live, correcting issues in place
- Give structured feedback that helps our AI content tools improve week over week
- Hand-craft marquee, high-value deals (think Disneyland, Starbucks) end-to-end
- Own content escalations from Sales, Merchant Service, and Customer Service — fix titles, descriptions, images, and fine print directly
- Run the language-quality queue and hold the bar for language standards
- Take on redemption, merchant-service admin, and content-specialist tasks as they consolidate into the team
- Turn recurring content issues into policy, SOP, or AI-prompt improvements
- Help decide which tasks get automated next
- Keep every piece of content on-brand, accurate, and transparent
- Partner across Sales, Merchant Service, Customer Service, Design, and Product
- Track and share quality signals and trends for leadership
What You'll Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field; advanced English (C1–C2)
- Proven senior experience in content, editorial, or content QA — high volume, accuracy-focused
- Exceptional editing and proofreading skills with a strong sense of house style
- End-to-end ownership — you fix it, not just flag it
- A root-cause mindset for recurring defects
- Comfort tracking defect types, escalation volume, and turnaround time
- Fluency (or a fast ramp-up) with AI content tools, and willingness to help calibrate them
- Working knowledge of HTML and Markdown; comfort with visual-template changes
- Adaptability in a fast-changing, high-automation environment
Must Have
- Availability aligned with United States shift hours
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with Groupon's markets and deal lifecycle
