Content Safety and Policy Intern
You will review original content for brand-safety concerns and conduct thematic research against global safety standards. You will collaborate on quality-control and safety checks before publication, monitor global censorship, copyright, media-law, and internet-governance trends, and draft policy materials and trend updates. You will also provide localized analysis of socio-political events and their impact on regional content policy.
Responsibilities
- Review original production content for potential brand-safety concerns
- Conduct thematic research to assess alignment with global safety standards
- Perform quality-control and safety checks on episodes before publication
- Track and analyze global trends in censorship, copyright, media law, and internet governance
- Draft policy memos, briefs, fact sheets, and weekly trend updates
- Monitor socio-political events and analyze their regional content-policy impact
Requirements
- Be a recent graduate or current senior pursuing a degree in Media Studies, Journalism, Sociology, Community Studies, or a related field
- Demonstrate interest in diversity and inclusion, content compliance, and digital legal issues
- Possess exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Understand pop culture and societal trends in the United States, Latin America, and South Korea
- Have professional experience with Microsoft Office Suite and SharePoint
- Adapt quickly to internal CMS tools
- Have bilingual proficiency in Korean or Japanese, preferred
- Be able to handle frequent exposure to sensitive, graphic, or disturbing content
