Content Strategist
POSITION SUMMARY
The Content Strategist is responsible for executing and measuring content across our portfolio of healthcare brands, contributing to the broader content strategy set by marketing leadership and business unit leaders. This role combines hands-on content creation with strategic input, ensuring all content is accurate, clinically appropriate, and aligned with brand voice, audience needs, and organizational goals. The ideal candidate is a strong writer who also understands the intersection of content and conversion and can own the results of their work. This is an excellent opportunity for a mid-level content professional to grow into greater strategic ownership over time. Reports to Senior Director, Marketing and Communications.
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education & Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications English, journalism, or related field.
Licensure & Certifications: N/A
Previous Experience: 3–5 years of experience in content creation, content marketing, or a related role. Experience writing for healthcare, clinical, or other highly regulated industries. Experience partnering with clinical, technical, or executive stakeholders to develop thought leadership content. Familiarity with SEO best practices and a portfolio demonstrating range across content formats.
Skills: Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling skills, with a track record of understanding how copy drives conversion. Strong project management and organizational skills. Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution. Comfortable working cross-functionally and managing multiple stakeholders, including clinical/operational leaders. Detail-oriented with strong editing/proofreading skills. Ownership mentality: accountable for the performance of content, not just its production. Uses AI and other technology tools to work efficiently and intelligently, without sacrificing originality, judgment, or quality of output
Computer Skills: Experience using AI tools to accelerate content development while maintaining accuracy, brand voice, and compliance. Experience with marketing automation or email platforms. Familiarity with social media management platforms (e.g., Sprout Social or Hootsuite). Familiarity with content performance metrics and basic analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics) Proficiency with standard business software (Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and using a laptop and mobile device is required.
Travel: Ability to travel to conferences and other team events as needed, up to 10% travel.

Strategy & Planning
· Maintain the editorial calendar across all content channels
· Contribute to content pillars, themes, and messaging frameworks defined by marketing leadership and business unit leaders
· Conduct audience research and competitive analysis to inform content direction
· Support the development of audience-specific customer journeys
Content Development
· Write and optimize core assets: landing pages, emails, case studies, one-pagers/solution briefs, blog posts, webinar/event copy, press releases, and enablement materials
· Plan, develop, execute, and track social media campaigns across our portfolio of brands
· Work with clinical and operational leaders to develop internal and external thought leadership pieces
· Manage content production timelines and coordinate with designers, freelancers, or other contributors as needed
· Ensure all clinical, patient-facing, and provider-facing content is accurate, appropriately reviewed, and compliant with healthcare industry standards
Brand & Messaging
· Support marketing leadership and business unit leaders in refining brand messaging and positioning
· Ensure consistency and clarity across all marketing and media communications
· Serve as a brand voice resource for other departments producing external-facing materials
Measurement & Reporting
· Track and report on content performance metrics (engagement, traffic, conversion, etc.)
· Analyze data to refine content strategy and improve results over time
· Present findings and recommendations to marketing leadership
Operations & Enablement
· Assist with the development of internal SOPs, playbooks, and guides
· Work closely with marketing, sales, and product teams to ensure content supports broader business initiatives
