Content Writer (Crypto)

You'll join the content team that produces the reports shaping how the world understands cryptocurrency. Working alongside subject matter experts and investigators, you'll translate on-chain activity into clear, actionable insights for regulators, law enforcement, intelligence agencies, compliance teams, and journalists. You'll cover global policy, DeFi, sanctions enforcement, mixing services and more, acting as a storyteller who makes sense of a complex subject. You'll help define the company's public voice, producing work cited by the world's leading publications, and you'll use investigative tools to strengthen your storytelling while owning the accuracy of your work from sourcing to publication.

Responsibilities

• Write quick-turn blog posts that break down the news of the day
• Collaborate with subject-matter experts to document criminal crypto activity
• Contribute to biannual flagship reports on crypto crime and the global on-chain economy
• Develop long-term content ideas alongside Research and Marketing teams
• Investigate complex trends across DeFi and mainstream crypto adoption
• Use investigative tools to strengthen storytelling
• Own the accuracy of work from sourcing to publication

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional writing experience, ideally in a newsroom or comparable editorial environment
• Demonstrated ability to explain complex financial, technical, or regulatory topics in plain language without buzzwords
• Working knowledge of the crypto industry, including how blockchains, exchanges, DeFi protocols and stablecoins function in practice
• Experience adapting tone and voice for distinct audiences such as policymakers, compliance professionals, general readers
• A bachelor's degree in a writing-intensive field such as journalism, English, communications, or equivalent professional experience
• Comfort navigating a block explorer (nice to have)
• Experience writing SQL or similar queries (nice to have)
• Experience growing an audience on social media for a brand or publication (nice to have)
