The Continuing Care Assistant (CCA) Program Manager, Halifax, is responsible for the overall operational leadership, growth, and successful delivery of Oxford International Education Group Career College's Continuing Care Assistant Program in Halifax. This role provides strategic and day-to-day leadership to ensure the program operates efficiently, delivers an exceptional student experience, and continues to grow while meeting institutional, regulatory, and industry expectations.
Along with the managerial team you will supervise (Practicum Placement Coordinator, Program Advisor, and Lead Instructor), you will oversee all aspects of program operations, including instructor leadership, workforce planning, capacity building, scheduling, budgeting, resource allocation, practicum coordination, student progression, and continuous quality improvement. You are accountable for program performance, enrollment growth, student retention, regulatory compliance, and building strong partnerships with healthcare and industry stakeholders.
- Lead the overall growth, operational performance, and success of the Continuing Care Assistant (CCA) Program, ensuring enrolment, student outcomes, quality, and financial objectives are achieved.
- Develop and execute strategic initiatives to expand enrolment, strengthen industry partnerships, enhance delivery models, and support sustainable program growth.
- Provide operational leadership for budgeting, financial performance, workforce planning, scheduling, resource allocation, and continuous process improvement.
- Monitor market trends, workforce demands, and regulatory changes to identify opportunities, mitigate risks, and position the program for long-term success.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of instructors and program staff, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with institutional policies, regulatory requirements, quality assurance standards, and accreditation expectations.
- Oversee curriculum implementation, academic quality, practicum operations, and student progression to ensure a consistent, high-quality learning experience.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with healthcare employers, practicum partners, regulators, and community stakeholders to support placements, graduate employment, and program reputation.
- Collaborate with admissions, marketing, student services, career services, curriculum, compliance, and campus leadership to drive enrolment, student success, and operational excellence.Monitor and report on key performance indicators, using data to drive decision-making, continuous improvement, and strategic growth.
- Provide occasional classroom, laboratory, or practicum instruction to support program continuity and operational needs
- Eligibility to work in Canada
- Clear background or criminal record check
- RN/LPN in Canada
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN), Master's degree an asset
- A post-secondary teaching certificate or adult education credential
Experience and knowledge:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the healthcare sector, with at least 2-3 years in an educational, training, or curriculum development role.
- Experience managing or coordinating academic programs within a college, university, or private career college setting.
- Demonstrated experience with healthcare regulatory bodies and accreditation standards.
- Proven ability to develop curriculum, assess learning outcomes, and support instructional design in healthcare education.
- Demonstrated ability to scale programs, business units, campuses, or operational functions.
- Strong business acumen with experience managing budgets, forecasting growth, and achieving revenue or enrolment targets.
- Proven strategic planning and execution capabilities, with the ability to translate vision into measurable outcomes.
- Experience building operational processes and systems that support growth and efficiency.
- Highly analytical with the ability to use data and KPIs to drive decision-making.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a bias toward action, ownership, and continuous improvement.
- Ability to anticipate future challenges and opportunities and proactively develop solutions.
