Continuous Improvement Engineer
Working within the operations team of our consumer goods audit business, the intern will be responsible for the continuous improvement of our processes aiming at operational excellence. The audit department has been growing at double digits for the past few years, and needs smart minds to bring clarity and rigor to our way of working.
Your support will be mainly divided into 3 parts:
1. Continuous Improvement projects (business analyst, project management and implementation) – 50%
• Perform business analysis and internal audits to ensure that our SOPs are well applied by the audit department team members, and that the client’s requirements are well integrated and followed.
• Maintain a list of priority projects to be handled first, along with Audit team management
• Autonomously define, implement and manage these selected high value LEAN projects.
• Lead the change across all the audit teams to ensure success and long-lasting implementation.
2. Operations Management support (operations manager right-hand person) – 40%
• Perform selected high-value routines in place of operations management team.
• Investigate and resolve client claims related to audit team’s performance (auditors’ performance, audit reports, coordination performance, etc…).
• Partner and collaborate with the different audit departments to ensure that all issues reported by the auditors or by the clients are addressed and that effective solutions are implemented at all levels.
3. On-site operations support (becoming a certified auditor and performing audits) – 10%
• Provide on-site support for selected audits: becoming trained and performing selected audits in the factories. This is especially useful for countries you can access visa-free in Asia.
• Lead selected client meetings to explain the audit process to selected clients. These meetings will be conducted both online (most of the time, ahead of clients’ first audits) and onsite (when appropriate).
