Job Summary

The Contract Administrator will work closely with legal, booking, operations, accounting, production teams to review, edit, and negotiate artist, venue, co-promotion, vendor, and location agreements needed for Company events (one-off shows and festivals). This position will work closely with other team members and the team Manager. Additionally, this position will work closely with the accounting team to process wire requests and deposits for artists. The Contract Administrator will also, in consultation with the company’s risk department on an as-needed basis, review insurance requirements in various agreements to ensure needs are met on a case-by-case basis.

Essential Functions

  • Review and edit artist contracts including issuing, mark-up, receipt and processing. Collect all pertinent information related to the agreement, clarify data points and disseminate to talent buyer and artist management teams .
  • Review venue, vendor, co-promotion, and location agreements. Submit edited contract to supervisor, talent buyer, or general manager of venue for approval and issue to venue, vendor co-promoter, or other party, as appropriate.
  • Initiate wire requests/deposits due under artist agreements and submit for approval. Follow up for confirmation in timely manner to process with accounting department.
  • Review contractual insurance requirements for potential risks or special circumstances. Amend insurance provision(s) of the agreement to include additional information and coverage as needed.
  • Develop and update contract process, create new ways to disseminate information. Ensure that all show files are up to date with new or revised contracts and insurance certificates.
  • May be responsible for helping to train new employees in contract administration and creating resources for training.
  • May work with other teams and areas (e.g., exhibitors) to ensure various paperwork is completed correctly.

Required Qualifications

  • A minimum education level of: High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor of Arts/Sciences Degree Preferred)
  • Years of related work experience: 1+
  • Basic knowledge of contract administration and legal language
  • Strong attention to detail and highly organized
  • Ability to compare/analyze documents
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Outlook, Word) and Adobe software
  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task and perform well under pressure

Payscale: $23.75 - $27.54

Bonus: This position is not eligible for a bonus under the current bonus plan requirements.
